I'm sure those interested in this are already aware of this series, but I just reconnected my cable link to discover the BBC4 series Classic Britannia, looking at developments within British classic music since WW2. Haven't seen any yet but BBC4 always repeats stuff for a good few weeks. I saw the series on folk last year, which was excellent. What's this one like?

It's great. It has far better coverage than the Seven Ages of Rock could ever try to make, though it seems to be a little bit inaccurate and misleading like the Rock series, covers a relatively broad spectrum, with great snippets. Enjoyable television, doesn't get too serious and pretentious about the works, covers a few interesting happening within being patchy.

Thanks. I'll watch the repeat of part two tonight. I think it's looking at modernism and minimalism, or something.
