Live Out Of Mind
Compilation made by Roberts.
All files are taken from SHN- and FLAC-sets (corresponding LB-number for the source at the end of each track), except "Dirt Road Blues", which has never been performed live in concert (what?!); Roberts solved this small matter
by grabbing a live rendition heard on the
Masked And Anonymous film. All files have been given approximately 5 seconds of fade-ins and outs, using Audacity, plus the volume adjusted to correspond with the other tracks. Finally, all tracks were also tagged in the very same program. Sound quality is very good or excellent throughout.
[Tags and filenames altered slightly with TagScanner by The Soup Nazi, who also came up with the new "folder" image (see above - pretty sweet, huh) using Microsoft Word (!). All audio has been left untouched. New ffp and md5 files created with Trader's Little Helper.]
"Mississippi" was added as a bonus track because, as Wikipedia points out, "the song was originally recorded during the
Time Out Of Mind sessions (demo sessions in Fall 1996; official album sessions in January 1997), but it was ultimately left off the album". Three takes were included on the deluxe edish of
The Bootleg Series Vol. 8: Tell Tale Signs: Rare And Unreleased 1989–2006. Dylan recorded the definitive, majestic version for 2001's
"Love And Theft"; unfortunately, first he gave it to Sheryl Crow, who crapped all over it.
