This is a fantastic compilation by six Greek composers who each take a stab at using an EMS VCS3 modular synthesizer as their primary sound source. These pieces are not limited to said synth, a wealth of primitive studio techniques are used to brighten the edges of these works, for example the piece by Yannis Vlachopoulos mixes swells of strings, children playing, & Greek folk music in & out of the track. Seriously, I’ve been eating up all of this old school modular synth music recently. I suggest you do the same; it’s quite an adventurous world of electronic music. A world so rich w/ wondrous works of art that makes us appreciates the current electronic climate of today.
