I don't like doing that very often--buying albums to replace albums. But sometimes it's worth it. In this case, for some reason, the vinyl copy of Shiny Beast sounds a bit silkier than the CD, and there's more artwork, including copies of the Captain's drawings/paintings that aren't included in the CD packaging, as well as a complete lyric sheet.
As for MMT, I now have the booklet, and a first pressing. Plus, the sound is warm and "tube-y," kind of like the white album, and beats the crap out of the Apple label reissue.
