i think that what i said is the best way to help in the long term. because over time it will give you higher levels of energy, more cash, more equipment, better concentration, better mental health and thus better performance ability, better creativity etc. it will enable you to do the hard work that over time will build into something. it takes a lot of practice. a lot of hard work, a lot of thought and a lot of ideas put into practice. of course you know this already, but being clear headed is the best way to do this.

maybe after say 6 months of intense practice you might be even better and someone might offer you a good gig. maybe since you'll be sober the people you socialise with will open up new oppurtunities.

i understand long term there's other things to think about. at least after some hard work and sobriety it will be easier to think rationally about.

all the examples im giving are the opposite of how i used to be. so i only know this stuff from fuck up experience. lets just say partying and drug damage might make you creative but only in a pyschotic sense. and if in that state you cant write it down or transfer it to something then there isnt much point.
