Indeed Thurston played a sweet solo acoustic TOTA heavy set. To start with he welcomed his fellow EP Library conspiritor Eva Prinz onstage who read the poem Le Déserteur by Boris Vian with such great aplomb that it reminded me of the footage that I've seen of "The International Poetry Incarnation" at the Albert hall in 1965!.
He then went on to play Never Day and continued with:
Fri/End
You Lost Yr Lover
Blood
He didn't give out the title to the next one but I think it may be called "Diamond In The Gutter" or "Without Shame" as he repeated these lines a lot.
He followed this with another new one "Circulation"... which segued neatly into Woody Guthrie's This Train Is Bound For Glory
And ended with Honest James.
