I don't like thinking of my records as rarities. I probably have some things that are rare but that's not why I value them. I value them for the things that those early issues have that reissues don't--best reproduction of the packaging, best sound, etc. Or because there are tracks that aren't available on something else.

At the same time, if there's a great reissue that accurately reproduces everything about the original, I'm just as happy with that. And there have been a lot of those in the past few years from labels like 4 Men with Beards, Sundazed, et al.
