Is it out of the question to visit Vancouver in winter? I guess that's up to you. Would you be willing to visit New York in winter? I think the winter climate is about the same.

Yeh I'm Australian.. I think I'd rather visit New York in winter than in summer, I imagine a summer in a big city to be gross and stinky and a lot worse than winter. I just dont really know a lot about Canada or Canadian cities. I live in one of the colder Australian cities, but it isn't cold by world standards. It never snows in my city.. I've seen snow once, and that was when I went camping in the mountains..

erm is there okay public transport? if you can't use a car to get around in the winter can you still get around by train ?

hmm
