this isn't about religion, this is about ideology and politics - of which religion merely plays a part. My family are from the protestant side of northern ireland and i know that were any of them to have tried to have a relationship with a catholic while they were there it would've been incredibly frowned upon, but for political reasons far more than anything else. A similar thing happened to me when I was going out with a catholic, but to a far lesser degree - simply because the religious divide isn't as politicised in England as it is in Northern Ireland. Israel is a place, like Northern Ireland, where religion is inherently politicised. That's what I meant about Fugazifan being caught up in something far bigger than something that might on the surface appear to be little more than wanting a relationship that crosses two faiths.
