I tend to think Pavement are pretty consistently good across all their albums, Terror Twilight isnt nearly the atrocity so many people make it out to be.

Placebo's first album is good emo fun, after that the fun turned a bit "European" if you know what i mean.

Most things ive heard by Godspeed You Black Emperor after F#... have been pretty unengaging, that album is still incredible to listen to but Yanqui UXO and Lift your Skinny Fists have both been a bit dull, though i should probbaly give the latter more of a go.
The Set Fire to Flames Side Project is quality though.
