Hmm sort of. I always thought this was the ground Gnarls Barkley were bridging into with their first album. I'm totally inexperienced with this thing though, I've heard Erykah Badu before and she's pretty okay- if we can bring classic soul singing back to replace that horrible whiny melismatic Mariah Carey style shit thats been dominating black music for about 20 years then I'll be happy.
