i'm on the eastside in LA, i walk 3 minutes to one of six taco joints, and five to the chinese spot.. and if you feel like going into the danger zone there is a McDonalds on the corner..
I hope your in Nob Hill, its much nicer than downtown, but that is my bias as part of suburban sprawl of LA..
