OP, even if you are infected I would still bone you.
Also, for better protection get NOD32 as your anti-virus software. Do regular sweeps with CCleaner and keep atleast 2 anti-spyware apps on your comp. Spybot and AdAware usually do the trick. Any time you download anything you're unsure of, run it through NOD first and you'll be fine.
Also to the Mac users on here... OSX isn't exactly virus proof either. With the lack of people getting virus protection on their Macs as well it means they're gonna be even more negatively impacted by any virus attacks.
