of course, the Horn of Africa is beginning to contend, there are varieties of food crops are believed to have also originated near china, however they have such tremendous diversity that it is not being assumed that perhaps they in fact originated in Africa and not the other way around.
Mind you, for three thousand years we have assumed that Semitic culture and language originated in Asia minor, however linguistic studies and archeology have no concluded that in fact Semitic culture originates in Ethiopia where there is the largest degree of semitic cultural and linguistic diversity.
