It is not a mindset of christian values that blocks America's support for human rights, it is quite the opposite. Christian values support human rights by every definition. You dont have to be a Christian at all, but you should understand that Christianity is in support of human rights, just as you obviously are. I think the real question is how many people who call themselves christians are following their own value system?

They don't care. they are SO misled by their leaders and the far right wing that they believe anyone that is different or outside of the box is either a terrorist or an abomination from satan. As far as I'm concerned something needs to change about this country and its 'christian ethics' or we're all fucked. And as far as I'm concerned christianity is DESTROYING this country, not supporting it.
