I gave RLYL a try many years ago, when I was happy to listen to any band with a tenuous link to The Sisters of Mercy or The Mission, and I'm afraid the album I bought was a bit flat and lacking in dynamics. It was only some years later that I realised that that was the standard production style for mid-80s Goth records, but that I'd been too busy being dark and mysterious to notice how crap the music sounded.
