honestly, if you visited for 4-5 days, all you would need is like 200$-300$
food is not that expensive if you eat like... pizza and pitas and kabobs and what not
and i don't mind paying for cabs at night
you can get into the metropolitan museum for 2$-4$ bucks
MOMA for 20$
etc.
