It was pretty great to finally get a good version of this on the Tom Snyder DVD set after having an old cassette audio for years. Lydon really sets Snyder off, and its not really clear to me why, unless Snyder had a thinner skin than one would think. Its worth watching just for the cigarettes. I think its wrong to title this Snder with John Lydon, it was Snyder with Public Image. If I was Levine I'd be pissed off, but I imagine he's had plenty of time to sop getting pissed off where Lydon is involved.
I wish they'd shown the first Plasmatics appearance, not the 2nd.
The Jam sound like shit.
Considering that Synder had a show every weeknight for most of the 70's and these half dozen or so interviews & appearances are all he has to show as a record of punk/new wave speaks pretty loudly to the lameness of corporate entertainment. Maybe there's more in the vault. I'm more interested in Merv Griffins DVDs actually...
