I admit that Placebo do have some lazy moments when it comes to writing lyrics, but I wouldn't say they were bad, the have some of the most poetic lyrics I have ever heard, such as Every You Every Me and Without You I'm Nothing.
I do like Interpol but sometimes I feel their lyrics don't make sense, sometimes it seems that they are just trying to string a sentence together,
e.g. "I am the scavenger...
Between the sheets of union.
Lately I can't tell for sure,
whether machines turn anyone."

I love antics, it took me ages to like but I personally think that Narc is their best song (that or Specialist). I'm looking forward to the new album, but i'm in no hurry to have it, I hear it's already leaked but I'd rather wait till I buy it.
