i didn't know what to think at first. i guess they're more popular than i think they are. possibly thanks to the O.C. ? Good News did sell 1,500,00 copies, so i guess it isn't that surprising.

I like the album.better than what i expected. you would be a moron to think that this album would be comparable to lonesome crowded west or moon and antartica. unfortuantely, those days are over for modest mouse. it's hard to write music about the unfairness and harshness of life when your last album went platinum. We were dead definetly has it's moments though, but it also has its faults. there are some songs that force you hit the skip buttom on your CD player. one critic said that you don't really hear any of Isaac's existential barking on this album.
