Yeah, I went to Russian language school for a whole year in the Air Force, classes every day from 8-4, just in conversational Russian. They used the immersion method. After the first week, whenever we were on campus, we were supposed to speak only in Russian. Even so, even after all that intense training, about a third of the class didn't make the cut on the final exams. I had one of the top scores, but I still felt like I only had the basics down.
