the fucking stage hands gave the setlists to the pricks next to us (and i couldn't identify like two thirds of the songs) and i didn't bring a camera.

anyway, the show was awesome, as i said. it started out with just a drummer and a bassist playing some songs. Dale came out and played guitar on a few songs before letting the two do a few more. Dale and Buzz came out and the Melvins set began. my friends and i were front row center, so that was pretty awesome. there was a bunch of idiots moshing behind us and they kept ramming into me. towards the end of the concert, some middle-aged guy stood right behind me, put his hand on my back and took some photos of the band with phone; he was essentially leaning on me, which was more than slightly offputting. my friend Justin was shoved into the barrier and smashed his nuts; that was funny. Buzz was wearing this weird dress/muumuu thing (so was the bassist, Jared). Dale and the other drummer, Coady, did these crazy drum duets in between songs while the other two tuned. they played for about an hour and fifteen minutes, with no encores.

and i bought a t shirt.
