Dunno if the (lighthearted, but still kinda worrying) news arrived outside my country, but a few days ago here in italy one of the municipalities explicitly added to their ordinance that you can walk the dog but:
"the dog must necessarily be alive"
...I guess people started going for walks with stuffed animals hoping nobody would notice...
