Re our new coach: Gareth Southgate. Worked his way up through the under 21s route. Bit of a boring, 'safe' appointment but in hindsight, I'm not sure who I would've had instead (who'd realistically want it). This generation of players is decent. Not so good as to attract the kind of hype that the 'golden generation' got and which probably helped ruin them. Plus there's no old guard to accommodate now. Maybe Hart but he'll hopefully be replaced by Forster soon. Rooney definitely seems finished. Kane, Alli, Walker, Shaw, Dier: none of them are world class but they are very good and I've seen worse teams progress further than we usually manage. We just need a break in a big tournament.

Don't do it!! We've been hurt too many times. Like the idea that THIS time this relationship might work out. Few weeks later BAM! she's moving onto the next thing.
