DOG STAR MAN is my favorite film ever and I've watched it silent twice, but having music underneath REALLY enhances the viewing experience. My way of looking at it is, there's never EVER going to be COMPLETE silence anyway, ules yku;re deaf.

Anyway I will do this soon.

This also reminds me to get BRAKHAGE COLLECTION VOLUME 2. For my birthday!!

i'd never come across him before syr6.
and i've just youtubed dog star man ("not the artists intention") and watched prelude.
fucking intense for a silent film. i loved the pace of it, i loved the red clouds and the way he shot them (moving or pulsing) made me think of being in the womb, or looking at light (the sun?) with your eyes shut. It made me think (quite probably because of my connection with him) of sonic youth's abstract music.
but i was mesmorised for the 10 minutes or so, couldn't take my eyes off it. Incredible.
when i have more time i will check out more of his work (and hopefully not ona shitty laptop screen)
