The live set-up's nothing outta the ordinary, I don't think. He used to wield some unusual vintage mics at live shows, but lately, I've only observed the cheapest and most ubiquitous mics at house-shows and DIY spaces across the land.
Certainly, Dwyer's rarely ever at the mercy of a soundman, though....They usually set up on the floor somewhere and play through their own self-contained P.A. and amps that are stacked behind the drummer.
Next time you have the chance, just wriggle your way to the front and have a look-see.
