I already repped you on the assessment of Redding and Mitchell but forgot to mention also the spot on comparison of the Doors as well. Manzarek held them together, Densmore was a great drummer with a unique style and Robbie Krieger was quite a phenom only 18 when they started who also wrote the song that put them on the map Light my Fire. It's too bad people didn't give them the time of day after Jim passed away.

THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME. Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchellson deserve much more credit than I seem to hear them get. Such a great rhythm section... the live legacy of Jimi Hendrix kind of impacted the degree to which people pay attention to the fact that the experience were not just Hendrix's means to an end, but were truly an excellent group a la The Doors being in the shadow of Morrison (Hendrix>Morrison though)
