Will Savage Clone ever tour Europe?

I do wonder if this is ever gonna happen.I have no idea but it would be nice if he did.

Pookie 01.14.2007 10:49 AM

I've heard that he's going to tour Europe, playing at any board member's house if they let him know in advance.

He just needs a meal provided and somewhere to graze his sacrificial goat.

there're so many members doing music, we should pick a place in the globe and set up a show.

Glice 01.14.2007 12:21 PM

The above is a bit unlikely, but there's plenty enough places one can get free in London for an evening. A Tuesday night in bleakest Hackney for a load of Sonic Youth afficionnados. Actually, there's a fair few squats/ artist pad type places in South London that'd be good. Any dubsteppers on board?

sonicl 01.15.2007 04:38 AM

Come on Clone, get your "ass" over here!

Savage Clone 01.16.2007 10:55 AM

I'll play just about anywhere as long as there's not a war going on, provided someone can get me there and give me a place to stay.
The investors and promoters aren't exactly beating down my door.

porkmarras 01.16.2007 11:13 AM

If you promise not to eat all my pies and nick my make up you could share the cat litter -tray with Glenny and the rest.

Pookie 01.16.2007 11:14 AM

Come over, think of it as a holiday, and any money you might earn whilst here consider a bonus.

Savage Clone 01.16.2007 11:16 AM

I have no problem with this idea, but first I need to find myself some gainful employment. Trust me, I'm working on it hardcore.
Holidays are for people with jobs.

Pookie 01.16.2007 11:18 AM

Just get your air fare and doss at various board members homes.

Although if you come anywhere near mine, I'll set the dogs on you.

Iain 01.16.2007 11:25 AM

Yes, come and play here for heavens sake. Obviously it's no problem finding a place to crash for free. The problem is travel expense/hassle.

porkmarras 01.16.2007 11:29 AM

A return ticket from Minneapolis to London can't be that expensive.I read that from July there might be the first budget worldwide airline in operation.Accomodation wouldn't certainly be a problem but i'm more worried about the food situation.Well, not really.

Savage Clone 01.16.2007 11:30 AM

Yeah, the plane tickets are the killer.
Plus if I were to come with a band, there is all kinds of hassle.
Mr Metzger and I have toyed with the idea of touring over there together though, which would be not only fun but much easier.
That may happen, actually, but not certain just when at the moment.

sonicl 01.16.2007 11:57 AM

I have a tent you can borrow.

Glice 01.16.2007 02:32 PM

If you're serious Mr Clone then I can probably get you a few gigs in various places and places to stay. There's absolutely no way I'm stumping up for a ticket, unfortunetely. And if I could afford to bring American bands to play for me, I'm afraid that NNCK would be a little higher on my 'want' list. As would the Shaggs.

In fact, fuck it, I'm investing in a time machine to bring back the Shaggs when they were young so they can play for me. I might even invite Prussian Blue and the 12-yr-old Beenie Man for a support slot. Just for the giggles, you understand.

Let's build a longboat.

Savage Clone 01.16.2007 04:05 PM

I don't have a beard that requires its own room.
I like to leave a small footprint when I crash on someone's floor.

seriously, this european tour might work one day. and soon.

I actually tried to get them for a gig near me prior to ATP, as I only live up the road. Their promoter never got back to me. Turns out I wasn't the only person trying to book them at that time. Boring story, but true.

Glice 01.16.2007 04:16 PM

You'd probably be surprised how easy it is to set up gigs. You'd also be surprised how quickly a bad reputation can ruin your ability to book anyone ever grows.

Savage Clone 01.16.2007 04:23 PM

It's always better to have more people in the audience than in the band.

Playing solo is a good way to increase your chances in my experience.
