SKULLFLOWER
Skullflower, one of the most important and influential British noise bands, formed in 1988. They are eternally led by Matthew Bower (later of Total, Sunroof!, Hototogisu, Mirag), Over the years the group’s style has changed considerably. Their earlier releases drew influence from industrial and psychedelic scenes, forming a minimalist wall of guitar squall, distorted vocals and tribal drumming.

CON-DOM
Con-Dom stands for Control-Domination, and is the one-man industrial noise band of Mike Dando. Con-Dom explores any kind of social tensions and control He is well-known in the industrial scene for his furious ravaging vocals and the devastating live performances, in which he turns into a real stage animal. MUTANT APE
AKA George Proctor the man behind the …turgid animal label/distro who has released about a zillion tapes/cdr’s/records of northern harsh noise/industrial/power electronics.

SPOILS & RELICS
Field recordings and scavenged tapes are stretched, spliced and layered until the sounds produced bear next to no resemblance to the original materials. Yet enough ambience remains to imprint itself firmly within the grain of the music, producing a gestalt of places and times in which multiple physical locations literally seem to buckle, warp and melt and into each other.
Wharf Chambers Co-operative Club is a members’ club, and you need to be a member, or a guest of a member, in order to attend. To join, please visit wharfchambers.org. Membership costs £1 and requires a minimum of 48 hours to take effect.

HALF AN ABORTION
"Half an Abortion is far more considered than the gonzo band name would have you expect, this is carefully layered, properly physical noise. Bits of this could lazily be described as ‘harsh’, I suppose, but it isn’t confrontational. It actually has a very engaging flow, a wry humour and a structure that invites the listener to climb all over it. Pete clearly wishes you to pay attention and you’ll be rewarded if you do." – Radio Free Midwich
