Pretty awful line-up

definitely be cool to see guys like William Basinski sharing a stage with the Black Lips. Pretty great lineup. I just re-listened to "halycon digest" recently, pretty beautiful stuff in retrospect.

B-53's should be loads of fun

Going to this next week, should be loads of fun. ATPs last summer festival, looking forward to seeing Blues Control, Rhys Chatham & Oneida, Kim Gordon, Ikue Morie & Bill Nace, Blue Orchids and Basinski.

Great weekend, one of the most fun ATP's I have been to.

Highlights included Deerhunter who were pretty phenomenal each night, Bradford was also a great curator he was on stage for most of the bands on the line up. Seeing Stereolab play a 20 minute version of blue milk was also pretty incredible.

Others Blues Control & Laaraji, Body/Head + Ikue Mori, Ex Models, Oneida & Rhys Chatham, Black Dice & Tom Tom Club + The B53's for making Saturday such a fun night.

was it seriously actual stereolab, ie laetitia, tim, simon etc? holy shit that's exciting, blue milk is one of my favourite songs ever.

how were deerhunter's sets? those albums live would have been insane (and no fucking monomania! what a dream!)

i dont mind monomania too much. i was apprehensive cause his vocals on the last Atlas Sound were really annoying, but monomania was alright
not the best deerhunter album but not the worst!

i like the fact that they've changed sound from their previous album. I think bands need to change and play what they feel at the time. no point sticking to a "deerhunter" sound if they're bored with it

Yeah it was the full band + Bradford Cox on guitar. Laetitia also said at the end of her set they are not over.

Deerhunter were pretty phenomenal each night, especially on Saturday where they played Microcastle. I have seen them twice before but these performances were on another level. They did play some Monomania on Sunday night once they finished Halcyon Digest but it was only 3 tracks.

Best news on this board today!

How long / what songs did they play?

They just played a 20 minute + version of Blue Milk at the end of Tim Gane's set which was pretty epic.

deerhunter was a good movie

deerhunter is a middling band

You should see them live, I think it would totally change your opinion of them.

What all films did they show there this time? I heard Jurassic Park was one of them which seemed kind of funny to me.

I should. Their records do not get my juices flowing.

Didn't see any of them but some of my friends went to JP. But they showed lots of Andrei Tarkovsky, two polanski movies, Stand By Me, To Kill A Mockingbird, Black Orpheus, The Long Goodbye and Parix Texis.

...as much as I think Deerhunter are ok that movie list is pretty much exactly what I'd have.
