I'm usually sober and angry/ when I put nirvana on.
I listen to them a lot more than I used to. |
while I don't listen to Nirvana as often as I used to, when I do, I fucking truly appreciate it. Every year I like Nirvana more and more, even though I listen to them less and less. As for tonight, for this thread when I finish my beers I will have to put on From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah.

sometimes..
not as often as i used to, but i still do. |
Wishkah is massively under appreciated. That version of "Aneurysm" is without peer as far as I'm concerned. Fucking just rocks it. Hard.

Agreed! That whole fucking album rocks, Dave and Krist put it together so flawlessly that it sounds like a single stage show instead of several years of shows spliced together like an anthology. They said they wanted to give the experience of a great Nirvana show so they put it together like a set list. There are a lot of Nirvana bootlegs out there, some really great, and Nirvana was a great live band, but Wishkah is superb. What is surreal is that Unplugged and Wishkah are both perhaps in the top 25 live albums (albums like Jimi Hendrix Woodstock, Bob Marley's Live!, Johnny Cash's At Folsom Prison) ever released. Very rarely does a band get two slots on that list.. |
pretty sure i got shitfaced the day i picked up the remastered BLEACH on vinyl
what about getting drunk and jamming Nirvana tunes with friends? if that counts then that'd be a couple weekends ago. |
