Kind person with no shame required in the UK

Hi, I'm looking for somebody with absolutely no shame, who's not too embarrassed to walk into a WH Smith, HMV or whatever and buy the October issue of Terrorizer mag which comes with a "free" Electric Wizard cassette EP.

I'd order it online of course, but their site says "limited copies" come with the tape, meaning no online orders, yet practically all (I think?) copies in UK stores seem to have them, judging by a quick look on eBay. Of course I'll reimburse you and stuff and will try to lift your self-confidence following this humiliating experience (mag also features articles on lacuna coil, my dying bride, cradle of filth... ouch!) by praising your awesomeness and providing aftercare if needed.

If you think you can handle this challenge, please let me know.

Thanks.

SIDE A:

'Legalise Drugs and Murder'
'Satyr IX' (4-track Demo)
'Murder and Madness'

SIDE B:

'Patterns of Evil' (remixed version)
'Lucifer (We've Gone Too Far)'
'Our Witchcult Grows...'

I'll try and look out for it for you but not sure when I'll next go to a shop that might have it...

Pookie 10.07.2012 08:47 AM

I'll pop over and have a look for you now. It's about a 2 minute walk from my house.

Pookie 10.07.2012 08:58 AM

I have a copy. PM me your address and I'll send it tomorrow.

floatingslowly 10.07.2012 09:16 AM

Oh god, mail me one too! :(

floatingslowly 10.07.2012 09:18 AM

Wow, thanks Pookie... that was lightning fast!
I just came back to see if anyone had replied but I sure didn't expect someone to have already gone out and bought one! I owe you.

PM on the way.

edit: thanks, Stu.

Ha, nobody buys Terrorizer either, I'd think? (I don't know actually, I've never read it.)
I don't know how limited it is exactly and it's probably crap anyway, but I'm a bit of a sucker for this stuff.

Wizard's Jus Oborn says:

'We had planned on releasing a cassette for a while now and then Terrorizer asked if we'd be into it. We love (the) dead formats, I mean, I still play the fuckin' things and VHS and even 8mm. Electric Wizard sounds great on tape anyway, too bassy and phased out, haha. The whole band grew up with tape-trading so we are all nostalgic for it, we did hundreds of Electric Wizard cassettes back in the day, all recorded in Tim Bagshaws lounge. The first time we saw a studio was when we did the first LP in 1993.

Basically this is the 'Legalise Drugs & Murder' Cassette EP . 'Legalise Drugs & Murder' & 'Murder & Madness' were recorded late last year and were released as a Ltd 7" in March. They are total statement of intent songs...'Legalise...' is really anthemic and a rallying call for all the Wizard freaks. 'Murder & Madness' is the result of late, late night/early morning bong sessions haha... our true 'statement of intent'.

'Satyr IX' is a nasty 4-track demo of the 'Black Masses' track. It was recorded on cassette in a freezing and mouldy rehearsal room, so its almost black metal. But really slow and cold with added mushrooms... actually back in the day I used to trade psych and magic mushroom tales with Euronymous and Metalian, they were total druggers back then.

'Patterns of Evil' was remixed cos we weren't 100% happy with the LP version. This is more aggressive and sleazy sounding.

Then we have a special track that we recorded with the 'Legalise..' sessions, its our Hawkwind/Amon Duul 2 homage for Dave Anderson at Foel. We always have a sick time there and its in the middle of fucking nowhere. I can't get enough of Dave's tales of early Hawkwind/Amon Duul 2 and meeting the Baader-Meinhoff, nearly joining Alice Cooper etc etc....

'Our Witchcult Grows...' the real wizard fans will know what this is.'

My album comes out early next month on cassette, as well as digital format.

pokkeherrie 10.07.2012 10:08 AM

But does it come free with the November issue of NME?

Genteel Death 10.07.2012 10:09 AM

they won't touch the thing no matter what.

pokiehrrry, you should check out this band. I just kind of stumbled upon them a few weeks ago, and have been telling anyone who I think might care, ever since.

Thanks. No need to buy it, I'm giving it away to all people who attend my gigs in support of Animal Collective in 2013.

I'm sorry, that's past my bedtime.

Terrorizer is a decent magazine, if there was a metal equivalent to the wire it would be terrorizer.

pokkeherrie 10.15.2012 03:24 AM

^^^uhm, it comes with a Slipknot centerfold poster...

Anyway, I just want to say that Pookie is awesome! Pookie rules! All hail Pookie! Praise be unto him!

Cheers, did you tell Fenriz? Because by coincidence I just heard them for he first time a couple of weeks ago when they were "band of the week"-pick on his blog.

A new (to me at least) band in the vein of Electric Wizard that I've been listening to recently is Buffalo Witch
