perfect(ly horrible) songs

smells like teen spirit, something in the way, territorial pissings, most anything off nevermind - nirvana

so yeah. you get it. post some.

Without any psychological attachment:'She's The One' by Robbie Williams. The pop that is seen so much in this man goes 'POP!' on me.

LittlePuppetBoy 10.19.2006 04:35 PM

I can name quite a few by those NicklebackThreeDaysGraceTheoryofaDeadman Bands

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 04:41 PM

you know i think i'll go look for that record and put it on (nevermind) and see how bad it actually is.

screamingskull 10.19.2006 04:46 PM

Will Smith - gettin jiggy with it????, for example?

porkmarras 10.19.2006 04:48 PM

Yeah but saying Nevermind is a bad record is an obvious tactic for attention seeking in this.erm....,rock and pop age?

Cantankerous 10.19.2006 04:51 PM

well i have made my decision. on the whole nevermind is awful.

screamingskull 10.19.2006 04:57 PM

i love the whole of Nevermind. so shoot me!

Glice 10.19.2006 05:50 PM

Dylan and Hole and whatever else Saterrous likes are pretty horrible.

For the record, and I know no-one actually cares, I'm not terribly fond of Nevermind, although the 'secret track' is pretty neat.

Why would someone shoot you for liking a great album?

whorefrost 10.19.2006 06:51 PM

i'm indifferent to nevermind at this point.. i actually sold my copy but i remeber seeing come as you are on tv a few months ago and kind of enjoying it

porkmarras 10.19.2006 06:54 PM

Loved the album when it came out at the time.Listened to it loads for a while till i got tired of it.The reputation it has is a case in point on how music critics should be generally shot.

whorefrost 10.19.2006 06:57 PM

i got into sy and nirvana simultaneously in 1998, when i was 14... at first i was intrigued and bewildered by sy and i loved nirvana in a particularly teenage gushingly emotional way.. after six months or so, i was disinterested in nirvana but continuiningly compelled by Da Yoof
*flicks hand like ali g*

whorefrost 10.19.2006 07:01 PM

i still regard in utero as a great record even if i rarely spin it these days...

porkmarras 10.19.2006 07:04 PM

That's the thing. When i first listened to Nirvana i was simoultaneously into New Christs,Dinosaur Jr,Sonic Youth,The Scientists,Current 93,Nurse With Wound,Diamanda Galas,Pixies,Green On Red etc.Nirvana were never the best out of this bunch but went on to be acclaimed as such and that is wrong in the wrongest way possible.

whorefrost 10.19.2006 07:10 PM

i've spoke to other sy/nirvana fans who are always adamant that SY are a better band (which is probably true)

porkmarras 10.19.2006 07:11 PM

There's no doubt about SY being a better band and i wouldn't even have to be a fan to know that.

whorefrost 10.19.2006 07:15 PM

the secret track on in utero is fantasticly excellento

porkmarras 10.19.2006 07:19 PM

Still,Nirvana are not comparable to Sonic Youth in any shape or form.We all know that at the height of grunge pop Nirvana put out 'Nevermind' and SY put out 'Dirty'.I know where my heart used to be when it came to the pop battle that might have ensued.

porkmarras 10.19.2006 07:29 PM

At the time,in fact,i was torn between SY's 'Dirty',Nirvana's 'Nevermind,Metallica's 'Black album' and Primal Scream's 'Screamadelica'.To top it all Spacemen were recently defunct and The Velvet Underground reunion was happening.
