My mixtape

Ok, for the round two of the mixtape trade, i had sent a cd-r with two mp3s for each side of the tape to spookie for him to transfer them to a proper tape (i can't record to tape); the thing is, the package got lost in the mail and my cd-r never arrived to spookie. spookie was kind enough to send me a tape, so i thought of uploading the tape i made, not being the same thing as being part of the trade but giving something back.

Pookie 10.04.2006 09:46 AM

I was going to ask for a tracklist, but I've been beaten to it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Low - Sunflower
Ruins - Quetzalcoatl
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Monster
The Birthday Party - Roland Around In That Stuff
Painkiller - Deadly Obstacle Collage
High Rise - Disallow

if you noticed, it's very rock and song oriented, the reason for this is because i wanted to have sound collages in between the songs where i mixed and matched several styles and stuff, with stuff like noise, instrumental pieces and drone so they would make the song to song transitions interesting, but it was taking too long, i needed to cut a lot of songs for it to work because i needed a lot of time in between songs and i needed to send the cd-r if ever wanted to participate in the trade and i scrapped the idea; i'll upload what i was trying to do, how far i got into it.

nice mix

Apart from my absolute loathing of Sigur Ros, this is a very good mixtape.

Seriously though, Sigur Ros are the worst thing to happen since AIDS.

Everyneurotic 10.04.2006 10:51 AM

i used to think that, but their most recent album is actually great, i was surprised i liked it.

ok, here's what i was hoping to do for my tape: http://www.badongo.com/file/1498596

Pookie 10.04.2006 10:52 AM

I too very much dislike Sigur Ros. I was being too polite to say.

But this is a great mix from what I've heard so far, and there are a few bands on side two I've wanted to hear, so I'm looking forward to that.

Everyneurotic 10.04.2006 11:48 AM

i'm here to give, you are welcomed.

was the sigur rós song i used that bad for you?

krastian 10.04.2006 11:05 PM

Nice tape man.

Everyneurotic 10.04.2006 11:19 PM

thanks, krastian!

so, nobody listened to my unfinished attempt at sound collage?

krastian 10.04.2006 11:46 PM

Do you think these peeps like Agnostic Front? They should if they know what's good for them.

Everyneurotic 10.05.2006 12:00 AM

victim in pain is one of the most perfect albums ever; i don't care about anything else they have done, but victim in pain is just, wow!!!

my thoughts are that people are going to hate entombed more than anything else on that tape.

krastian 10.05.2006 12:04 AM

Hell yeah man.....I actually really like just about everything that they've done.
