Best Goth Band
 

They're okay, some of them. Some of them are even better than okay ie rather good.

I can't stand some of the bands on this list, but I've been nice and put them in anyway.

Do you have a goth tendancy? And are you prepared to admit to it in public?

Oh, yeah - Fields of the Nephilim are the Goth Kings.

More Deathrock than Goth, but yeah I dig it.

From that list Bauhaus followed by Siouxsie and the Banshees.

I like the Sisters of Mercy quite a bit.

Bauhaus will always be the best goth band, and really the only goth band i listen to. I dont really consider the Cure goth either.

Bauhaus all the way! They are the forefathers of it all.

Me neither, but they had black hair and make-up, and all goths have 'The Cure' written on their coat or bag, don't they? I can't stand the cure myself, nor Siouxsie.

If the Cure are goth than Joy Division is the best.

I don't listen to any of these bands. They make me sick.

Christian Death is more like comedy goth IMO. They are to goth what the Germs were to punk.

If you are going to list Siouxsie and Cure as goth, Joy Division should probably be up there too. Birthday Party and early bad seeds were fricking good too, but whether or not they were actually gothic is up in the air.

The Cure are lumped in with goth bands a lot, so I put them in. I agree that they are not really goth, but neither were The Mission in my opinion. I was using my experience of goths to determine things.

Alien Sex Fiend are the funniest goth band; they know the trappings and lampoon what they love. They're great live.

but i should have clarified that EARLY christian death, after the first initial years they became unbearable.

from that list, i would have to go with bauhaus
