bizarre! it's not a joke either, these guys are TRUE KVLT.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 08:06 PM

Ugh! I'll listen in a bit. The idea is terrible.

Toilet & Bowels 09.01.2006 08:13 PM

they do quite a good job of the music, but i can't help but laugh when the cookiemonster vocals kick in. krieg's other music is good though.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 08:16 PM

Well, yeah but you can't like black metal and hate the vocals. The vocals are like 80% of the sound.

On a non-related note, a death metal band called Crimson Thorn and a black metal band called Crimson Moonlight both played the last night of a local Christian music festival here in Willmar. Crimson Thorn had the biggest circle pit in the history of the world last year but this year it was rather small. The entire hockey rink last year was a giant swarm of bodies running. Absolutely brilliant show. Terrible music but brilliant show.

Toilet & Bowels 09.01.2006 08:25 PM

well i don't hate the vocals, it's just funny to hear them in the context of a VU song

Toilet & Bowels 09.01.2006 08:47 PM

venus in furs is a velvet underground song. not sure if there was a band called venus in furs too.

Savage Clone 09.01.2006 09:00 PM

You are thinking of the Psychedelic Furs.

Actually, there was a band here in Pittsburgh called Venus In Furs...I heard a song of theirs on a local music compilation once, it was somewhat boring electro-goth...

Don't know if they're still around...

alteredcourse 09.02.2006 03:32 AM

as a friend just told me : why ruin the velvets liek that .
this was a true suicide inducer .

IntoTheGroovey 09.02.2006 04:35 AM

that was not cool. at all.

Phlegmscope 09.02.2006 12:37 PM

Hah, that was deadly.

How can they remain kvlt, if they're making cover versions of popular artfag bands' songs?

blots 09.02.2006 04:31 PM

I don't think it was bad, the vocals put me off a little in the beginning but more for the odd delivery of some words than the growls... It grew on me though, or I got caught up in the song as it went on... I've actually never heard a cover of this song that I hate, it almost transcends whoever is playing it. The original "demo" version of the song was very different as well, but the variations never bother me...there's always something about it.

Cantankerous 09.02.2006 04:45 PM

i dont know whether to laugh or cry.

Lurker 09.03.2006 07:41 AM

Both: laugh that they covered that song but cry because black metal exists at all.
