I'm in town in LA and I just saw that the Thurston shows on 7/28-9 are SOLD OUT! What the heck. Do they ever keep some tickets at the door if you arrive really early? Or when the box office opens?

Also, everywhere I saw that Thurston was headlining on Thursday and opening on Friday. But the Troubadour site has it reversed.

Should I even bother going? Which night should I try to get in? Any insight on this matter? I have never been to the Troubadour.

Doors usually open at 8pm. They originally announced Thurston headlining on Thursday, Kurt Vile on Friday, then this week they just reversed it. I have Thursday tickets. WTF!? street parking is tough to find, $10 to park in lot across the street.
