Diy cymbal stands
Stupid idea?
Thanks. |
Or magic wands or bamboo or monkeys trained to keep em high while I hit them (the cymbals, not the monkeys).
Yes, make them. But used ones are already pretty cheap. So, yeah, how's your day? I saw you like my new friend. It's almost as old as I am. |
music stands, mic stands, bits of old metal. anything that can take a severe beating.

I just got the idea to turn an old clothes rack in a cymbals hanger.
Something like this with a couple cymbals hanging. ![]() I like this idea. I'll ask some clothes stores if they will get rid of theirs. I remember I saw some of them put amidst the monnezza from time to time. My day has been pretty good, girl. Got to know my new friend, put down a few ideas, got a couple nice news. Good all in all. p.s. I'm not at all a "wild" performer when I play, so I don't need anything hypersturdy-durable, actually...I don't think the "swinging cymbals" could be much of a problem if the rack is wide enough, I don't plan to hit them tooooo hard (I've weird ideas on how to use them). |

you're doing it wrong. on topic: stacks of 100 year-old nitroglycerine blasting caps glued together. |

ok then, a small child use one of them. |
that was honestly my first choice, but it sounded doable enough. in fact,
I'm sure glice has already tried it. |

make them hold the cymbal in their hands and hit it as hard as you can. if the weep, cane them. |

I should probably add that I won't use "good" cymbals, but rather some leftovers (semi-btoken, rusty, etc) from friends.
I love how that kind of things sound anyway. |
