Favorite looking guitar
 

Jazzmaster for me.

A lot of the old 60's / 70's cheap guitars that weren't off shoots of famous models are often cooler that the regular strats and les pauls.

There's a picture of an aluminium custom jazzmaster on the EGC website that's probably the most amazing thing ever. I also have perverse liking for the flying V (but not any of the modern pointy sharp edged metal V models).

The bloke from part chimp has wonderfully smashed up old hofners:

 

Jazzmasters look cool and feel nice against your body, but they're too idiosyncratic for me in the sound/control department. Also, the pickups don't give me as much versatility as I prefer; in my mind, any electric guitar should be able to do this as easily as that, and not look out out place doing either one...

Fitted with a Mastery bridge my Jazzmaster has nearly as much sustain as my Telecaster. I guess purists will say that it's not the "true" sound though (but I think it sounds great so whatever).
