Thanks, listening now. He has a pretty consistent discography, and this sounds oretty good. I dunno if he'll ever top HARMONY IN ULTRAVIOLET...
|
thanks ! he's great. harmony in ultraviolet is a masterpiece in my books...
|
I like.
|
ooh merci beaucoup. I'm HOPEFULLY seeing him live in 2 days if my plans work out
EDIT: damn, it's been removed |
Thoughts after hearing "Hatred of Music I-II" for the first time: fucking song of the year, haha. Now, seriously, I'm enjoying this very much. Tim Hecker has been one of those cases which I can't seem to go wrong with, anyway.

This is a really, really, really brilliant record. Better than Harmony In Ultraviolet, perhaps - and that is my favorite ambient record ever.
|
It's a pretty cool little record. I dunno. I don't think I've really been in the right mood for it, when listening to it the 3 times I've heard it. You know? So it hasn't blown my mind as much as some of his earlier stuff, but I have a feeling it'll click...

I really like this record. It is perhaps my favourite from this year.
Hatred of Music I-II is definitely the best part for me. |
I find this really, really, really great.
|
It's cool, I just wish he'd try something a little different. It's the same old but you know, good same old.

Have you listened to his records as Jetone? You might like it if you're looking for something different from him. Ultramarin is a pretty fine record. |
