"The Eraser" thread... the return.
 

Once i said on this board that Thom Yorke was a genius but his solo songs weren't that good, he needed radiohead guys to make the stuff sounds brilliant...

I'm coming back to say i was very much wrong. At that time i haven't even given a good listen to the album.

And after a few listenings... i realized how inventive and peculiar sounds those songs. The eraser is a masterpiece constructed by a genius of our time.

It''s the most beautiful record of the year so far.

the eraser is not a good record, believe me.

i think the eraser is over-rated

gonna see the RHead in August. Can't wait, as I'm a diehard fan.

i'm going to see em in August also, somebody told me before i heard "the eraser" that it was like Kid A before the Greenwood Brothes got their hands on it, i think this is a good comparision. its not a bad album by any means, its just gonna take that little extra time to digest it with me.

And yes The Eraser is a good record. I love Sonic Youth but I'd rather listen to The Eraser than the standard Rather Ripped.

Thom voice is so strong and beautiful, besides he sings simple phrases in an amazing way.

Give a listen to songs like "And it rained all night" "Hrrowdown Hill" or "The Eraser" you'll see what i mean.

I heard it playing in a record store today, and it I didn't like what I heard.

pitchfork gave it a rating of 6. your wrong.

i saw it just a minute ago at best buy for $15, pretty steep but I should have bought it

I still haven't heard it.....I did hear some on the Henry Rollins Show and on the extra footage up on ifc.com.

I liked it. It's good but not great. Black Swan and Atoms for Peace are highlights.

i prefer radiohead.

and it rained all night is a great song. skip divided and black swan are very good too.the other tracks are not very interesting in my opinion,but still it's a nice album,nothing groundbraking or too pretentious,and the latter is a good thing.

this doesnt happen a lot but i disagree slavo. i think eraser is great, album of the year so far!

The Eraser is definitly a ground-breaking record followed by Kid A. Thom Yorke created a new concept of music,

he broke all those old song structures and arrangements...
