Has anyone else here had a blast reading this trilogy?:rolleyes:

just started reading the first one a few days ago. Have really enjoyed the films so far though.

Only watched the first two parts as films, and again, the swedish folks is god dammit good at writing those stories.
the whole "wallander" crime novels are a great read an watch too

the books were excellent, I had a friend who couldn't wait and would order them from the UK a year early. The movies are ok but really unnecessary, I really didn't feel it was needed to show the violent rape scene in such detail for such a long period of time, but with the Hollywood remake they get to show the rape scene all over again.

I read the Man from Beijing by Henning Mankel recently, another Swedish mystery writer, that was enjoyable.

As you might expect, I don't think its too far fetched that Laarson was executed.

I came in here to say I'm not going to voice my opinion and ruin everybody's fun.

Im on the second book, don't want to watch the movies until I read all three books.
