still no Sonic 2010
halfway thru the year and still nothing released from SY... (I'm not counting the record store day vinyls, since they're just different formats)... but I mean, no new material, no soundtracks, no deluxe reissues, no SYR's, no nada. WTF?

I'm still enjoying the Eternal... no need to rush things too much.
|
I want something less rockin'. more noisy
|
I'd rather them do nothing than give us half ass excercises in 'musical' 'high art' that go nowhere like Syr's 4-7

what the ass? Seriously? SYR4 -- I'm not a big fan of "listening to" so whatever. I dig the concept and all. But fine you don't like it. Cool. SYR5 -- I've grown to think is awesome. It took me like 7 years to like it haha, but I do now. A lot. I feel like it makes perfect sense as a companion to NYCG&F, think of it as an extension of "Lightnin'" SYR6 -- is ok. But really should have come with a DVD. It would have made more sense that way. SYR7 -- is awesome!! Awesome!!! AWESOME!!! I love it. (and I'm glad you didn't diss SYR8, which is maybe my favorite SYR since 1 or 2.) |
I'm not listening to the Eternal anymore, bored me a little. It wasn't the best Sonic album. I want more noise thing too! and I still believe in live DVD............................................
|
I loved THE ETERNAL, but still... if no new album, then at least sndtrk stuffs or SYRs or reissues or something.
|
I have opinion that someone will call controversial for sure, but Rather Ripped was a fresher album than The Eternal... It has some lacks like very similar noise parts, for example Antenna & What we know. And hmm I don't really enjoy production on this one. Sonic Nurse was a last masterpiece for sure. Forgive me if this doesn't make sense! :p
|
mil, I liked RR more than most people as well. But Eternal is better. Haha.

Those qualities aren't mutually exclusive. |

makes sense. its all true. |
Obviously I'm out of the loop, but wtf is this then?:
"The band scored and composed the Soundtrack of the French Thriller-Drama Simon Werner a Disparu, which will premiere in May 2010 as part of the Cannes International Film Festival.[39]" I mean is that bullshit, or are we getting this soon? |
^ I don't think that this one or any other sy stuff is being released anytime soon. :(
|

yeah they composed it, but that doesn't mean we'll see a little shiny piece of plastic containing it. |

why is that Moshe? |
I don't know but as far as I know nothing is planned for SY the next few months.
If it is any consolation, a Thurston/Gustafsson release is in the works. |
that's only slightly consoling. :(
|
they're taking a break. they're resting like all old people do
