just for the record, they've always been douchebags but they used to actually not be a shit band for a minute http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1k-rHo8WCU = rad/nice mullets, losers |
U2 used to be my favourite band when i was a kid
i've just never heard a song of theirs that i've liked... cept that their bad stuff is fun because its terrible. kind of like metallica's st. anger
different strokes.
we all know how dave likes to be stroked. |
indeed.
Hey, I was a fan of Eno, well slightly before U2--Bowie, Devo, THeads, etc. So I was very excited to hear the 'new' U2 and I still like 'em. Esp the new album--combines virtually all of their old tricks in a new and repackaged manner.
And I feel it is OK to like them because I got Grandfathered in since the first U2 album I bought was October. Loved the video for Gloria. |
douchedom aside, boy, war, the unforgettable fire, and achtung baby are all fine albums in my book, albeit each having varying amounts of filler.
they lost it for me after Boy...a looooong time ago
The only U2 song I've ever liked. The lyrics are stupid, of course.
there's just so much stuff out there that is so much more interesting. u2 are almost as boring as coldplay.
boring is the worst thing a creative artist / musician can be |
Edge has never grown on the guitar, 2 chords five albums.
