my touchpad
 

is dying. its acting numb.
i need this shit to work and i wont be carrying an extra mouse around like i have a desk everywhere.
its a dell, inspiron something? dont ask me more i dont know anything about technology.
i just wanna stab dell, so bad.
half of the touchpad is completely dead, the other half works but is very frigid.
they should send someone over.
someone wearing a dell t-shirt i can stab.

they must be laughing up there, this is what their website says:

ok well sounds like its pretty fatal i am afraid, there is not a lot you can do bar getting a replacement and an external mouse. somewhere in your area might be able to put a new one in unless its under warranty?

this is specially funny because they called me a few weeks ago saying your warranty has expired would you like to extend it for 500 us dollars?

its somehow programmed into most things, 12 month warranty 13 month lifespan. someones got that job.

I got a wireless mouse and keypad doesn't help much when you're mobile but at home?

well i have that but i like to go to places with it!

if i wanted that i would have a desktop.

since you don't even use an external mouse, i'm guessing you don't do anything extremely mouse-intensive.

you can use the keyboard until you can get that fixed, believe it or not it's actually a lot more productive sometimes.

touchpads are cake to replace, they are discrete parts that plug to the motherboard. should be an easy repair as long as you can find the right part.

ive smashed and dissected plenty computers to know this.

i know, i don't mean to be rude it's just that i just finished paying for this and my work actually requires that i take it to many places.
whenever i am home, i use it, it's just not acceptable for the money i paid thats why im pissed.

so i can take it somewhere and it'd be fixed easily? this is good news.
