Huh, that actually looks really good. At first I thought it was fake like Spinal Tap, because I had never heard of Anvil.

I think it is kinda a mockumentary with tounge firmly planted in cheek. Sort of like a Pete Tong movie thing....

I can appreciate what Spinal Tap does...

I'm not saying they are fake, that's just what I thought when the preview first started. It seemed too sincere to be fake. The tongue-in-cheek aspect seems to be there - it's a documentary on a failed 80's hair metal band, it has to be there - but at least by what I could tell from the previews, they truly want you to feel what the band is going through.

I will definitely watch this.

So what if they are 'time victims', I think that is the whole point. They a version of a metal band. One with a big sense of humor

Saw this over the weekend with Mrs Jerry. Even if you don't like metal it's a fantastic movie, for anyone who likes music.

I have one of their records. I bought it because it looked so horribly bad. I really want to see this.

I saw Anvil live at the height (lol) of their popularity, opening for Aerosmith. They were horrible. I first hear about the movie on 4/1 and thought it just had to be a joke. Guess not.
