For some reason it's taken me ages to find Pink Flag around here, but I finally found it yesterday for an insanely high price. But of course it was worth it. wire kicks ass.

And don't forget the more recent Wire stuff, particularly Send. I saw them live after this was released in 2003 and they were totally fucking amazing!!!

Yeah there were some REALLY good songs on Send.....some clunkers though too.

yeah i got "pink flag" cheap too but they have remastered or reissued it, probably explaining the price rise.

Amazing band. First three albums are killer. Some of the mid period stuff was horrible but the reunion stuff was really good. Are they still playing at the minute?

Can't argue with that. Wire seem to get together now & then to play/record, but have their own solo projects. Colin Newman has recently been recording as part of Githead. The band also includes Robin Rimbaud (aka Scanner). Worth checking them out: http://www.githead.com/

Listened to it during my drive to work this morning...what a great album. 12XU is probably the best closing song on any album (ok, except for perhaps Trilogy).
