I have also never heard of him. I looked him up; he was skilled, although it's not really my thing.

I agree with this. Much better flow on that album. I love the mellower, jazzy tracks on Solid Air, but there's a few tracks like I'd Rather Be the Devil, Dreams by the Sea, and The Easy Blues that make it kinda awkward, I guess.

Steve Gunn (of GHQ) covered one of Martyn's songs last night at Issue Project Room.

thats what i was going to say. saw him play at the jazz cafe a few years ago and he was amazing, scary but amazing.
