I'm not sure how many of you outside the UK have access to the BBC Four channel but, as the link shows, they're planning a one-off documentary looking at British Prog Rock. BBC Four's series of Britannia docs has generally been very good (especially its Folk one) so I have quite high hopes for this. Especially given that it's hardly a topic that gets that much media attention.

does anyone know what video they showed in this? it was near the beginning, black and white, on a beach, with lots of reversed footage, like a guy's hat flying up and landing on his head nad shit..

Yeah, I saw it on youtube or vimeo or something.

The thing I liked was that all the band members were well aware of how pretentious they were and were playing it up for all it was 'worth'.

Pink Floyd were awesome when Syd Barrett was in the band.

"Awesome" afterwards too.

"Tiresome" would be a better word to describe the band after Syd was kicked out of the band.
