what kind of job would you recommend if you can't have a regular job and need to earn money?

i mean, besides prostitution.

depends on what you mean by 'cant have a regular job'

do you have no legs? or do you just not like working 9 to 5? or is it an office job you fear? etc..

what are the things you dislike/can't pysically do?

i am one of those. fuck "employment". working for someone else's profit is for suckers. i used to get fired all the time for being smarter than the boss and telling him how wrong he was. fuck the boss. start your own business. whatever you're good at and can be sold-- do that. you gotta have some skills-- rent them. practice makes perfect. you know more about music than most people. start a record label or something. organize concerts. get a radio show. embrace profit.

i think it's a case of mutual dislike.

How do you go about just starting a record label? I've always wondered that.


What I would LOVE to do is start a radio station - a GOOD radio station - here in Cincinnati.

with BALLS-- and a good lawyer? (i dont know)

If it's still here, I don't know where it is.

Even then, I want something GOOD. Even if it didn't last long, it would be a great feeling to know that I was responsible for that short period of time in Cincinnati when there was a radio station that you could call up and request Dinosaur Jr. without the DJ telling you they don't have it and have never heard of it before. That's all I want.

speaking of dinosaurs, those radio stations are a thing of the past and probably will never come back. satellite-- it's a monopoly. internet radio stations, on the other hand? who knows...

but if you have the money and the patience, you could apply for a broadcast station...

starting a record label? it's easy, research, then find a pressing plant and bands.

ohh, and have cash at the ready for investment.

hmm.. well, what do you like to 'do' ? what challenges you, motivates you, etc? are you out-doorsey? or indoors person? or night person?

In order to narrow down to a job you can tolerate, you kind of need to have an idea of what will motivate you and not make you want to cry.

one part of me wants to argue with you for this because i'm already doing what i like but i'm not earning money, so i need something that can give me an income.

but, on the other hand, i haven't really thought of all that when looking for a job, so you may be on to something there.

you can always find the cash if you have the know-how. partner up.

a friend of mine who shall remain unnamed had to stop paying his mortgage & car to finish his movie. he had to go to court to stop the foreclosure, but after the movie was finished he sold a shitload of dvds, paid it all off & made a nice profit.

i have my own business so ig uess that's my "experience". but i make tiny movies and commercial videos, not music. i started by making websites (which paid for the video gear).

the radio thing: i wouldnt do it in a million years. i did take a course in mass media so i learned about licenses & shit.

starting a label: i'd do it if i was a music guy, but as it turns out im into film/video. either way: make + sell = profit.
